Daniel Asiedu should be protected over confession - Family of JB Danquah

Daniel Asiedu Dankwa Family Daniel Asiedu is currently facing a committal process at the District Court
Family spokesperson for the late JB Danquah who was murdered at his private residence some few years ago is demanding for protection for the key suspect, Daniel Asiedu who is popularly referred to a sexy dondon.

Daniel Asiedu on Wednesday said that he will name his contractors when the time comes and that they are officials of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

When he was offered the opportunity, he confessed that he was contracted to kill the former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North.

Reacting to the confession, Kwesku Solomon told Kwame Tutu that, the family sees Daniel Asiedu as their key suspect and his recent confession is a major revelation hence the need for the suspect to be protected.
He believes the food the suspect will eat and his care should be paramount. "We do not want to go back to court for him to come and tell a different story. If that should happen, we will conclude our long held perception that, the death of our beloved family member is not being treated seriously. We want Daniel Asiedu to be protected,’’ he stressed.

Daniel Asiedu is currently facing a committal process at the District Court for a murder trial at the High Court.

The Attorney General will therefore take account of his confession at the District Court and add it to the bill of indictment for the court to consider whether the state has a prima facie case against Asiedu for him to be tried for murder.

It is at the High Court that the jury will determine whether Asiedu is guilty.

Only a useless country charges GHC 5 billion port duty for 1 car - Obinim laments

Bishop Obinim's Rolls Royce Fly to New York from $945. Book now to get the best price. Leader and founder of The International God’s Way Church, Angel Daniel Obinim says Ghana is a ‘foolish’ country, because no country that has sense will charge an import duty of 5 billion cedis for a car, MyNewsGh.com can report.  Obinim, who bought his Rolls Royce for 300,000 dollars said he was charged a duty of 5 billion cedis.  MyNewsGH.com could not readily verify whether the amount was 500,000 Ghana cedis, which he converted to the old cedis. What we can report is that he kept mentioning ‘5 billion, 5 billion’ as the duty he paid at the port to clear his car.  If the amount is 500,000 cedis, as we are guessing, it would mean that Obinim paid a duty of over 120,000 dollars to the state, which he says is rather outrageous.  According to Angel Obinim, everything in the country is rising in cost and it beats his imagination that he had to be charged 5 billion (old cedis)...
