GRADUATION SPEECH BY - SRC PREZ. 2018



3RD GRADUATION SPEECH DELIVERED BY – SRC PRESIDENT (ABUGBILLA TIMOTHY ATIBE) – 6TH JANUARY, 2018

Mr. Chairman, Chiefs, General  Manager and Staffs of Hali-Das Computer Studies,  District Chief Executive, District Police Commander, Ghana Education service Representatives present, Hon. Assembly Members, Pastors and Imams, Friends from the Media, Parents,  Invited Guests, Fellow Graduants, Ladies and Gentlemen, All Protocol Observed.
Mr. Chairman, this is the 3rd graduation of Hali-Das Computer Studies which means Hali-Das has established in Garu-Tempane District for quiet a long time now.
Mr. Chairman, I am very delighted to have this opportunity to deliver this speech before this august occasion .Ladies and Gentlemen, in my capacity as the SRC President, we have contributed a lot towards the development of the school. In terms of governance, the SRC has been working tirelessly hand in hand with the school authorities to make sure the school runs on smoothly.
Mr. Chairman, Hali-Das Computer Studies has contributed a lot in terms of human resource development in the district and beyond. Ladies and Gentlemen, Hali-Das Computer Studies has trained a good number of men and women who are gainfully employed outside.
Mr. Chairman, the world is now a global village and has everything at your palm and without I.T knowledge; one cannot function well in any institution. I therefore edge all and sundry to enroll into HALI-DAS Computer Studies to acquire knowledge in computing.
Mr. Chairman I will also want to edge all teachers who have not yet acquire computer knowledge that, the best computer school is here with us in our district and therefore they should try and enroll in HALI-DAS Computer Studies because they model the future ones.
Mr. Chairman, I will therefore conclude by appealing to the MPs, the DCE, NGOs, Stakeholders and those present here to help in one way or the other to improve the school because the school still needs a lot of improvement in terms of infrastructure, accommodation and computers.

UK feels obligated to ‘help’ Ghana change anti-gay laws - UK High Commisioner

The High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Ghana, Iain Walker has said his government owes itself and the world a right of duty to ensure that laws that set out to ‘intentionally or unintentionally’ discriminate against homosexuality are changed or new favourable ones created, MyNewsGH.com can report.  The High Commissioner passed this comments on GhanaWeb’s 21 Minutes with KKB over the weekend as monitored by MyNewsGH.com.  Mr Walker’s comments were in reaction to a question from GhanaWeb’s KKB about what might have prompted Theresa May, UK Prime Minister to offer to help Ghana change its laws to be more favourable and accommodating to homosexuals when President Akufo Addo participated in a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting hosted in London by the United Kingdom.  The UK High Commisioner said Theresa May’s comments were “within the context of LGBT rights”, adding that “it (homosexuals rights) is something that we the UK feel very strongly about”.  ...
