Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has urged the National Identification Authority (NIA) to add the voter ID card to its list of base documents required for registration for the Ghana Card. "It should be added", Mr Kufuor told journalists at his residence on Tuesday, 26 June after NIA officials went there to register him. "It's been a rigorous exercise", Mr Kufuor said, adding: "Almost for the past two hours, which means it could take a lot of time", especially "when you are going to do it for over 30 million people", explaining: "Documents that will help identify a citizen as a citizen will be sovereign authority in him or her so if your voter ID is not incorporated", then it is problematic. Kwesi Nyantakyi, Former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi, the former boss of Ghana football Association (GFA) and the second most influential person in the African football has denied accepting any cash gift and has termed the recently released documentary video in that regard as a lie. He was seen accepting $65,000 cash from an undercover reporter in the concerned sting operation. Ghana Football Association Godfred Odame, Ghana's Deputy Attorney General says World football governing body, FIFA does not recognize the current FA administration.  According to him, the highest football governing body FIFA is very unhappy with the current crisis in Ghana Football that it could not afford audience to the embattled FA at the meeting with the government of Friday.  Responding to comments made by the former spokesperson of the GFA, Randy Abbey on Joy FM's Newsfile programme that government erred in its attempt to dissolve the FA.  'It is quite clear from the statement jointly signed by FIFA and the government of delegation, a member of which I was, that FIFA does not even recognize the current FA administration,' he said.
